Job Description:
On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Cloud Architect to lead the transformation and migration of legacy Informatica and Teradata environments to AWS. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS Glue, Redshift, and data orchestration services, and will be responsible for designing a scalable data architecture that supports seamless migration and future data analytics needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of AWS data infrastructure, focusing on migrating ETL jobs from Informatica to AWS Glue and Redshift.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability in the new environment.
- Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using AWS services like Lambda, Step Functions, and DMS.
- Create a parallel data environment in AWS and decommission legacy systems (Informatica, Teradata).
- Support testing, validation, and reconciliation of migrated data to ensure accuracy.
- Provide technical guidance on optimizing Redshift for analytics and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in AWS data services, with a strong focus on Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Proven experience in data migration projects, especially migrating from legacy systems like Informatica and Teradata to AWS.
- AWS certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, or AWS Certified Database – Specialty.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, orchestration, and data governance in AWS.
- Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning in large-scale environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions to business stakeholders.
