About the job

We are looking for a skilled AWS Cloud Developer who will build and maintain cloud environments to scale the shared service public cloud infrastructure. They will provide hands-on expertise and guidance as related to cloud infrastructure builds and configuration, and all aspects of platform engineering. This opportunity involves collaboration with the development team and will allow you to utilise your unique blend of technical and interpersonal expertise.

Specific Responsibilities

Designing, developing and maintaining public cloud platform infrastructure

Assist the team with DevOps adoption through automation

Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience with implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github actions

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise

Responsible for public cloud infrastructure in terms of non-functional requirements like security, availability and reliability

Knowledge of cloud industry standards and best practices across infrastructure

Proactively maintains a broad knowledge of cloud engineering trends and technology advancements

Participating in code reviews, documentation and knowledge-sharing activities

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in AWS services
  • Thorough understanding of MongoDB
  • Experience in EC2, Load Balancing and Auto Scaling
  • Experience in AWS Developer Tools
  • Experience deploying apps on Route 53 and CloudFront
  • Knowledge of VPC, subnets, Gateways and network security
  • Knowledge of Cloud Monitoring Systems
    • Knowledge in Cloud Security (e.g. WAF, Cognito and IAM)
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs is a plus
  • Knowledge of JavaScript is a plus
  • Knowledge of React.js or Next.js and its core principles is a plus
  • Familiarity with JSON Web Token is a plus
  • Have a DevOps mindset
  • A rough understanding of Cyber Security is a plus
  • Degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering or equivalent or relevant experience in the area;
  • Needs to speak and write in English;
  • Interest in working in a Med-Tech startup environment
