AWS Cloud Engineer:

We are looking for a skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC), and a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK to automate provisioning and configuration management.
  • Architect highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating deployment, testing, and monitoring of applications and services on AWS.
  • Configure and manage AWS security features, including IAM roles and policies, VPC security groups, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Monitor the health, performance, and cost of AWS infrastructure using cloud monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Cost Explorer.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure, deployments, and performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture for AWS cloud environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on AWS.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services and best practices, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS, and others.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and routing.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards on AWS.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
  • Familiarity with AWS monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with data migration and management on AWS, including databases and data lakes.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms e.g., Azure is a plus.
