Responsibilities:

Optimise the existing Azure infrastructure, considering cost and performance. Scaling the infrastructure when needed using Terraform and Ansible scripts.

Perform regular activities: passwords and certificate rotation, servers’ patching and security updates.

Manage Kubernetes clusters, reverse proxies, databases and other components of the test and live applications.

Troubleshoot production and test environments’ errors based on the created logs, metrics, and alerts; plus: co-creation of new tools (if needed) to speed-up the troubleshooting.

Plan and perform changes across all environments (including Live / Production systems).

Create and update existing tools, which would automate all the routine activities.Requirements:

3+ years of experience inCloud- preferably Azure, but could any other Cloud Environment; main concepts:

Ideas around Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Continuous Delivery and Deployment

Virtualization

Managed Databases

Secrets management

Linux hands-on experience – preferably RedHat. That includes:

Installation and Maintenance, including regular patching.

Networking – understanding of the most common protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, ICMP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.

Containerization – Docker, Contained or other.

Good understanding of the Microservices architecture

Experience with one of the modern high-level programming languages: C#, Java or similar.

Experience with the relational databases.

Hands-on building build and release pipelines (Azure Devops, Jenkins / Cloud Bees or other).

User of the logging and monitoring tools – either: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace or other.
