We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Google Cloud Migration Engineer to lead our cloud migration projects. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, experience in migrating complex workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and a proven track record of ensuring successful cloud adoption. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and execute migration strategies, ensuring a seamless transition to the cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Migration: Lead end-to-end cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, migration, optimization, and post-migration support.
- Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on GCP based on best practices and client requirements.
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of existing infrastructure, applications, and workloads to develop migration strategies and roadmaps.
- Automation and Optimization: Automate cloud deployment processes, optimize performance, and reduce costs using tools and scripts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and migration processes.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud migration, including data loss, downtime, and security vulnerabilities.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, processes, and procedures throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams and clients to ensure successful cloud adoption and utilization.
- Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and security best practices.
Qualifications:
- Google Cloud Certification: should be Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Network Engineer.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cloud migration projects, with a focus on the Google Cloud platform.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and networking services.
- Scripting: Strong experience with automation and scripting tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
