My client a leading global technology company with a bold vision to create technology that empowers a connected world is looking to hire a skilled Cloud Security Specialist to help evolve their cloud security strategy, ensuring that our business, partners, and customers are protected in an increasingly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Enterprise Security, Architecture, Cloud Enablement, and Engineering teams to design, implement, and optimise security controls within our cloud environment (primarily AWS).
- Serve as a technical security expert, providing guidance and support across the organisation.
- Conduct thorough technical assessments of existing cloud security infrastructures to identify and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and deliver actionable recommendations and strategies for enhancing cloud security solutions.
- Implement robust security measures for cloud-native applications, including container and serverless security.
- Establish a sustainable framework and operational processes for ongoing cloud security management.
- Utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the deployment of security controls, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Enhance security configurations and policies to minimise risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including alignment with frameworks like the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM) and NIST guidelines.
- Provide training and awareness programs to internal teams and partners on best practices in cloud security.
- Develop and enforce standards and policies to protect cloud infrastructure and workloads.
Required Skills And Experience
- Strong technical background in security, with extensive experience in cloud technologies.
- Expertise in cross-cloud security principles, with significant experience in their implementation and automation.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, CNAPP, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM.
- Proficient in IAM and RBAC, with a focus on the Least Privilege principle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders, team members, and vendors, and driving the security agenda across key business units.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic Cloud Security support models.
- Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and additional certifications that highlight expertise in cloud security, including CCSP, AWS Certified Security, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, and Azure Security Engineer Associate.
