Overview

The Observability team is responsible for managing the tools that monitor the platform and the custom-built solutions used for incident management and engineering operations, aimed at enhancing engineers’ daily productivity.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to help develop additional features for our custom tools, which are built on a no-code app platform. Additionally, this role will involve collaborating with the data warehousing team to develop analytics for our incident management tools, with visualizations presented in Tableau.

We’re looking for an engineer who is passionate about customer success, enjoys collaborating with different teams, and is eager to learn, automate, and simplify our customers’ daily workflows.

Contract Duration: 1 year

Hourly Rate: $70/hour

Location: Remote (must be located in the US or Canada)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance custom tools using a no-code app platform for incident management and engineering operations.
  • Maintain and optimize observability tooling for platform performance, ensuring high availability.
  • Collaborate with the data warehousing team to create analytics for incident management tools, visualized in Tableau.
  • Design, deploy, and manage services in production environments with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Automate workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Engage with internal teams to ensure tools meet customer needs and enhance daily operations.
  • Contribute to incident management processes and the development of supporting tools.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and apply new knowledge to improve tools and processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate tools across the platform.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Qualifications

  • Be an expert in running services in production environments and contribute to the process of designing services for high growth and high availability.
  • Experience with no-code apps such as Tines or Zapier. Bonus: if you have the Tines certification.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as DyanamoDB.
  • Experience with Data Warehouses such as Snowflake.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with at least one programming language, such as Golang, Python, or Node.js.
  • Experience working with REST API’s.
  • Experience working with incident management processes or tools.
  • Bonus: Experience working with Statuspage.
  • Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau.
